Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) is a city planning authority responsible for planning functions of the Indian city of Mangaluru in Karnataka state.

Deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada holds the chairman position of MUDA.

 The Mangaluru Town Planning Authority came into effect from 29-11-1965 , the Mangaluru Urban Development Authority was constituted in the year 1988 by the Government  under the Karnataka Urban Development Authority 1987. This authority combined itself along with the planning functions of the City Planning authority and erstwhile CIB (City Improvement Board). Since inception, MUDA has allotted 1022 sites to the individuals for construction of residential dwellings. In addition,  more than 15 civic amenity sites have been given for use by various public utilities and also organizations, catering to the needs of the locality.
